Circuit Breaker

Circuit breakers play a key role in protecting both the solar panel array and battery bank from overloads and short circuits.

Circuit Breaker Function: Protects against overloads or short circuits by tripping when an issue occurs. To reset, you simply move the red bar back into position.

Two Circuit Breakers should be used in a solar system: One should be installed between the solar panels and the solar charger on the positive wire, and the second between the solar charger and the battery bank on the positive wire. This setup not only provides protection but also acts as a manual switch, giving you control over when the solar power reaches the charger or when the charger connects to the battery.
